Institutional Status
Aspire Medical Institute is currently completing the institutional development and state authorization process required for operation as a nonpublic postsecondary educational institution in the State of Georgia.
Aspire Medical Institute is not currently authorized to enroll students or offer instruction and will not begin enrollment or instructional activities until all required state authorizations have been obtained.
State authorization and institutional/programmatic accreditation are separate processes. Aspire Medical Institute will provide updated information regarding its authorization and accreditation status as approvals are obtained.

Why we publish this
Prospective students deserve to know exactly where an institution stands before they invest their time, money, or expectations in it. Aspire Medical Institute will state its status openly at every stage, and this page will be updated as approvals are obtained.
Understanding the difference
The words authorization and accreditation are often used as though they mean the same thing. They do not.
State authorization is a regulatory approval required for an institution to operate and offer postsecondary education within a state.
Institutional accreditation is a separate, voluntary process in which an institution as a whole is evaluated by a peer review body.
Programmatic accreditation is a further review of an individual program by an agency specializing in that field of study. In several allied health disciplines, programmatic accreditation affects whether a graduate is eligible to sit for a particular credentialing examination.
These processes are independent of one another, and progress in one does not imply progress in another.
